Our heritage.

Earnest beginnings and a passion for recycling.

The foundations of our business

Ernest Hadley founded the business in 1933 delivering sand and gravel using a horse and cart; supplies were hand dug from land at Shinfield. Alan Hadley, Ernest’s nephew, took over the business in 1946 and in the spirit of recycling that has been the cornerstone of the business since, started to grow his fleet by buying ex military vehicles.

About Us

Our vision.

Hadleys believe in sustainable solutions and we are passionate about conserving the planet’s natural resources; we have a responsibility to the environment in which we operate.

So how do we stand out?

  • A commitment to customer service

We believe in providing great customer service. We always strive to deliver what we promise, when we promise it - and to treat our customers with courtesy and respect.

  • A passion for recycling

We believe it is a betrayal of future generations to throw away resources that can be put back into productive use. We strive to continually improve our recycling performance

  • A love for the environment

We do everything we can to protect the environment and minimise the potentially adverse impacts of waste. We are fully licensed and regulated by the Environment Agency.
