Highways Agency Specifications (from the Highways Agency Specification for Highway Works
or SHW).

Almost all classes of earthworks materials (series 600), granular sub-bases (series 800),
pipe bedding & filter drain material (series 500) can be produced by our various processes.

The following classes are produced on a regular basis and are normally available from stock:

• Pipe bedding for all diameters & types of pipe (SHW clause 503),
• Type A & Type B filter drain material (SHW Clause 505),
• Sub base Type 1 (SHW Clause 803),
• Coarse Capping 6F5 (series 600).

The following classes are derived from stock materials and require 2-3 weeks notice so they can
be specially mixed and tested (minimum order quantities apply, phone with your requirements):

• Class 1A, 1B, 6A, 6C, 6D, 6E, 6F3, 6F4, 6H, 6I, 6J, 6K, 6L, 6M, 6N, 6P, 6Q,
  6R, & 6S (SHW series 600), Sub base Type 2 (SHW Clause 804)

The following classes require changes to processing equipment to ensure compliance,
phone with your requirements so we can assess viability:

• Class 1C, 6B, 6G (SHW series 600), Sub base Type 3 (SHW clause 805),
  Sub base Category B (SHW clause 806), Sub base Type 4 (SHW clause 807).
