Our fleet of skip lorries can offer a fast, reliable and competitive service for your needs. We operate 6 days a week and can offer a same day service.
Skip Types
3, 6, 8 &12 yard These skips are ideal for removal of heavy and bulky waste.
6 & 12 yard enclosed skips These skips are lockable and are useful when you are concerned about unauthorised tipping of waste into your skip.
Skip Permits
When you have a skip and place it on the roadside, you may need a permit from your local council. We can look after your application for you. Please give us up to 5 days notice so that we can ensure its obtained in time.
Skip Loading
We are not allowed to carry skips that are loaded above the walls of the skip. So when you fill our skip please make sure you don't overfill it, or we may have off load some of the material.
Skip Materials
We are able to collect mixed waste which is taken to our dedicated waste transfer station where we recycle 85% of the waste collected. We also offer a reduced pricing for segregated waste including metal, clean wood, paper and card, soil, hardcore and plastics. There are however, a number of materials that you can't load into your skip. Please let us know what materials you need to dispose of so we can advise you what we can take.
Recycling
Currently, we recycle between 80 to 90% of all waste. Our policy is to divert as much waste from landfill and into recycling and renewable energy as possible. Our aim is to recycle 100% of all waste coming into our transfer stations.
We have a large fleet of eight wheel tippers available for hire on bigger construction operations. Our tippers have removed thousands of tonnes of muck from many of the larger construction jobs in and around Reading and Newbury.
Our experienced and reliable drivers and support team will ensure your muck away job is completed on time and in accordance with all environmental requirements.
Grab lorry hire is available for the disposal of inert waste and rubbish. Grab lorries are self loading so there is no need to hire in additional equipment, nor is there a need to wheelbarrow your waste into a skip!!
Simply pile your waste in an accessible place and leave the loading and tidying up to one of our fully qualified and experienced operators. Please remember, grab lorries are heavy vehicles so make sure your waste is not only accessible but also in a place where the weight of the vehicle won't do any damage to your property
Grab lorries are a cost effective and time saving alternative to skips when the materials are suitable. Give us a call and be surprised at just how much you can save by using this versatile alternative to the traditional skip.
We supply 20 and 35 yard roll on/off skips for larger jobs, particularly those including heavy waste such as concrete, bricks, steel and other heavy materials.
Waste is taken to our licensed waste transfer stations which accepts all industrial and commercial waste, hardcore and concrete for recycling.
You are able to load mixed waste into the roll on/off skips which we take to our dedicated waste transfer stations where we sort the materials and recycle 85% of the waste collected. Any non recyclable material is removed to landfill sites in our bulk waste-liners.
We operate two licensed waste transfer stations which accept all industrial and commercial waste, including hardcore, metal, wood, paper and cardboard, soil and plastics.
The small amount of waste unsuitalbe for recycling is taken from our transfer stations to landfill sites in our bulk waste-liners. We are currently recycling between 80 and 90% of all materials received. Our policy is to divert as much waste from landfill and into either recycled materials of renewable energy as possible. Our goal is to recycle 100% of all incoming waste, a goal we believe we can achieve with further research into recycling solutions.
Our primary site is located at Deans Copse Road, Sheffield Bottom, west of the intersection with Bennetts Hill Road and our second site is located just off Colthrop Lane, Colthrop.
We are happy to negotiate very competitive rates for longer term tipping arrangements at both our sites.
We take pride in our ability to look after the environment.
We are happy to quote you for the supply of the following aggregates:
10, 20 & 40mm shingles
All sands
Ballast
We have an enormous amount of experience operating landfill sites. We have recently succesfully undertaken large waste/environmental management projects at Chandlers Farm Quarry in Everseley, Hampshire and in Berkshire at Poors Allotment, Ufton Nervet and Moores Farm, Pingewood, which involved special care not to disturb te nesting habitat of the rare Little Ringed Plover.
We currently operate substantial landfill sites at Theale and Reading.
We are also specialists in contaminated land remediation, resolving problems by either bio-remediation methods or physical removal of contaminates to approved landfill sites.
Working towards a cleaner and healthier environment today for our future generation!
We are happy to quote you for the supply of the following recycled materials:
6F5 crushed concrete
Type 1 crushed concrete
Planings
Screened soils
Our tight quality control means all our products meet European BSEN standards for unbound mixtures and aggregates for concrete, mortar and unbound use.
We can help you with all your site clearance and demolition work from the smallest yard clearance using lightweight equipment ideal for confined areas to large scale demoltion work using onsite crushing equipment and our fleet of tippers to remove the waste.
Asbestos is hazardous, difficult to handle and must be tightly controlled. Inhalation of asbestos fibre can lead to the development of numerous cancers. PLEASE DON'T HANDLE ASBESTOS.
Asbestos is in a number of products, particularly roofing it can also be in various other building materials, if you are in any doubt call the Environment Agency Hazardous Waste Registration line on 08708 502 858. Left in its current state asbestos is safe, it is only when it is distubed that the danger arises.
We have expert staff knowledgeable in all aspects of asbestos handling, so please call us before you do anything that may involve disturbing asbestos and that way we can make all the arrangements for you for the safe disposal of this dangerous product.
From 1 January 2009 the landfilling of gypsum based materials (plasterboard)with biodegradable waste has been banned completely by the Environmental Agency. Because of this directive not all landfill sites can take waste plasterboard.
There are two types of plasterboard, plain plasterboard and foil/insulation backed plasterboard. Each type needs to be handled differently and processed using different methods. As a result they may need to go to different facilities to be recycled properly.
Please contact us if you have any gypsum based materials for disposal and we can help you make all the correct arrangements for its safe disposal.

Sales Promos & News
Ernest Hadley founded the business in 1933 delivering sand and gravel using a horse and cart, supplies were hand dug from land at Shinfield. Alan Hadley, Earnest's nephew took over the business in 1946 and started to grow his fleet by buying ex military vehicles, and so the recycling had begun!!
Diversification into earthworks and demolition began soon after Alan took the reins and during the railway workers strike some two years later Hadleys moved huge quantities of vital coal all over the country for private and business use.
Hadleys provided foundation materials for the M3 and the Broad Street Mall in Reading along with many other developments since then.
We set up Quickbins which was the first skip hire business established in Reading, we are proudly still one of the bigger skip hire businesses in the area.
We are a proud of our Investor in People accreditation and have always believed that our strength lies in the skills and talents of our people.
During the last 75 years we have played and important part in the sustainable development of Reading and the surrounding area. We look forward to helping make the Thames Valley that much "greener" for us all to enjoy.
